Scrappy notes from 2019. 6 pack purchased at Princeton LQ in Maple Grove, MN.
Looks deep brown with a dark tan head. Smelling coffee, chocolate and light earthy pepper right off the bat. Tasting sweet coffee, chipotle pepper, sea salt, dark bakers chocolate, earthy pepper again. It is basically dark, roasty toasty, slightly dry with a fairly long finish. The pepper isn't hot at all. Very excellent and pretty easy drinking for it's higher alcohol.

Very dark brown colour. Faint light chocolate aromas, espresso notes, a little pepperiness, and silky. Tastes well balanced and blended. Rich mocha, espresso, good chocolate malt back, and a consistent and mild underlying chipotle back that peaks throughout the flavour profile. Malted and chocolatey upfront, a coffee and tingly spice midbody, and a clean dry dutch cocoa and chipotle finish. This is a very approachable pepper beer.
