This is a blended bourbon-barrel aged Russian Imperial Stout that is an Oliphant Brewing and Historic Casanova Liquors collaboration.

Kindness is doing or being nice to others.

The kindness trap is when doing something nice for others leads to a non-enjoyable experience for oneself.

For example, giving someone a can of coke as a thank you after they use their skid steer to shovel your driveway but then be regaled for over an hour on the current status of their roofing and siding project including the names of people you don't know, the issues with the project, even more names of people you don't know and all the while you're trying to get away to finish shoveling and you can't help but think you'd rather have just shoveled but then they are still talking and it's still about the siding project and it's the middle of winter so why are they installing siding? But that can't be asked because it's gone too far and you can't escape because they're your neighbor and you wanted to be kind because they were kind to you but it's gone too far and the blade to the shovel looks nice and sharp how sharp do you think? Sharp enough..? Is it sharp enough? Is it SHARP ENOUGH? It isn't. Nothing will ever be sharp enough to cut yourself away from this conversation. Nothing but time and being unkind.

This beer is a praise to being nice and a tonic for everything that follows.

Swig hard and ease in.

Pours pitch black. 3 finger brown, foamy head. Head retention is really good. There's some lacing on the glass as the head dissipates.
The nose is nice and deep rich coffee. The coffee is the main aroma. I do get hints of chocolate also.
Taste - definite coffee bomb, but there's more. I do get some caramel and chocolate. There's also a lactose flavor to this.
The body is quite thick. Slight creamy feeling. You really don't get the feeling that this is a 10% beer.
Another home run by Oliphant.
