Enjoyed from 16oz cans and also poured into a nonic pint glass.
L: Pours: rusty brown with lighter edges, no head, fizzy cola-like carbo that pops up from the top of the beer, no lacing.
S: Peat smoke, bold cereal grains, caramelized malts, fairly earthy.
T: Caramelized toasted sugary malts, peat & maple smoke, a light hop bite, cereal grains, a hint of brown bread, a hint of chocolate in the fairly sweet finish.
F: Fairly smooth med-heavy feel w a long lightly drying finish. Very gently sticky.
O: Very tasty, malty & sweet but not cloying. Nice and easy drinking, slightly rich overall. Drinks nicely from the can or poured. Either way it is earthy, smoky & sweet and is excellent in its style.

Released 2/1/22; drank 4/6/22 @ the Yarchives.
Mostly opaque brown/dark orange appearance.
A rough pour yielded a big, noisy tan head; a thick curtain of tree-rung lace.
Peat/scotch & faint cream notes in the nose.
Creamy, medium thick mouthfeel.
Smoky peat, mild caramel & faint cream flavors. Mild booze heat emerged as this warmed.
Borderline rauchbier vibes; I liked this.

Oliphant and Nine Mile Collaboration Beer
Swamp Thang : Smoked wee heavy Scotch ale, 9% ABV, 16oz cans
Look: body is brown, but copper brown when held to the light, some hazy or murky. Nice tall fluffy head the hangs on for a while leaving massive lacing.
Smell: Heavy toasted bread, maybe a hint of smoke
Taste: Toasted bread, mild smoke, maybe a micro hint of peat, a little caramel, Maybe a hint of rye or dark bread on the finish. Slightly sweet, smooth. Doesn’t seem like 9% in any way. Plenty of carbonation at first. Feel is ok, not thick or thin, soft feel, slightly syrupy. Not all that heavy of a malt for a 9% wee heavy.
A Ok beer. I would give it a 3.88/5 overall
