Appearance: Pours a completely black color with a mild, dark tan head. SRM of 23. (3.75)
Aroma: Strong aromas of rich, Coco, bittersweet chocolate, a mild coffee roast. Rich chocolate lingers. (4.00)
Flavor: Strong and rich flavors of Cocoa, bittersweet chocolate, mild coffee, roast. More rich, chocolate, and cocoa linger with a mild roast. (4.00)
Feel: Medium body, average to low carbonation, finishes, smooth, and slightly sweet. (3.50)
Compared to Bent Paddle Black 1/2024: Pours similar, milder head. Stronger aromas. More rich cocoa and chocolate. Less roasted. Sweeter.
Overall: It's a good stout with rich chocolate and cocoa flavor. A mild, but nice balance of roast. Slightly flat is the only downside. Flavor is very good. (Rating: 3.94)
