Orchid Island Brewing

32 oz. growler. Pours a clear golden body with a small, but fleeting, white head. Smells of perfume, orange, citrus peel, and some phenolic yeast. The taste is similar. Sweet up front with a lot of citrus, whatever kinda they put in this. Kinda tangerine-orangey. The citrus fades to a floral and perfumey flavor, which is a little odd, but not off-putting. The back end is where the yeastiness finally pushes past the other flavors. It's almost hidden, but gets you with a little bit of clove and astringency. Medium body, doesn't taste like an 8% saison. I was afraid it would be too sweet, but it isn't. Not my favorite yeast profile, but the citrus does enough to keep it interesting.
