Had this on-tap at the brewery. This is the very first beer I ever had by these guys, and I had it about 6 months ago a few weeks after they first opened. I remember being very impressed with I when I first had it and I am happy I get to drink it again now. Served to me in a snifter, this beer draws a very dark brown color with some copper highlights when held up to the light. Has a white head that is about 1/3 to 1/2 of an inch thick when first drawn. Settles to a medium sized ring lining the inside of the glass along with some decent lacing. Aromas of darkly roasted malts along with nice funky yeast notes and some fruity notes as well. Has a somewhat subtle dark, moderately roasted malt presence upfront that gives way to a funky, just slightly sour, yeastyness followed by hint of raspberry an chocolate that is rounded out with a nice peppery spice note. The flavor really come out and compliment each other extremely well as the beer sits and warms up a bit. Has a fairly Craig, somewhat prickly, yet smooth and slightly frothy, medium bodied mouthfeel with moderate carbonation. Yup, I still really like this beer the second time around, maybe even more so than the first time I had it. This beer is very unique! Worth a try for sure to say the very least!

A hazy "dark saison" with a light brown color. Initial taste is caramel and grain. Delicate and refreshing. Finishes with a strong taste of raspberry preserves that lingers. Wasn't sure about the fruit flavor at first, but it really grew on me. A unique beer definitely worth a try or two.
