I'm pretty happy with this brew. This is not usually a style I go for, but I've been coming around lately and an Americanized one like this really works for me.
It poured out of the can all scary orange gold with fine bubbles. The aroma is alarmingly putrid - in a good way. This is a unique and funky smell. I wish I were a dog.
The taste is out there. Not at all traditional, it bites with an over the top sourness. All those malts come together as a marvelous yeasty soup. My complements to the chef.
Highly recommended. I gotta get more before it's gone. It will keep.

Hazy light orange with a thick, persistent off-white head leaving a full wall of lace all the way around the glass.
Smell is kind of dank, but also delicate, featuring soft apple and pear.
Taste brings to mind a sort of old IPA as well, but lighter, with notes of wheat, apple and orange blossom as well as grape and faint pineapple.
The medium body has a full frothy carbonation and a semi-dry finish.
Doesn't really seem like a Saison.

Collaboration with Taxman Brewing Company. 12oz can poured into a tulip. Pours a hazy glowing golden; fluffy white head that fades leaving nice retention and lacing. The aromas are subtle and mild. Hints of honey along with some orange. Malts are there. Some wheat. The flavors basically follow the nose, but the flavors are also a bit bolder than the nose. Some apricot in the mix. More orange along with some tangerine. Nice citrus notes. More wheat notes. Malts do their thing. Low bitterness. Alcohol goes unnoticed. Mouthfeel is medium-bodied with moderate carbonation. It's fluffy, smooth and easy to drink.
This is a solid brew. It's a little rough around the edges for the style, but it's still nice and enjoyable. Not bad at all.
