Decent on a hot day. Has a little lemony zest to it. Easy drinking

A nice, refreshing lager for a hot day. Lagers are not my strong suit, but I've had all the usual suspects (living in Ohio, impossible not to have had all macros and many well-known import lagers), but I've never had a macro lager that tastes and feels as "quality" as this. I was skeptical, but for $5.39/sixer, I had to find out.
ETA: Platform makes some truly exceptional, if only usually seasonal IPAs, generally adding oats as an adjunct. Why don't brewers use oats more often? However, all of their beers EXCEPT this one list the malts, hops, yeast and any adjuncts. I doubt they have anything to be ashamed of, here, but I found that missing data curious.

I got a 6pck of this beer from my local meijer store. It poured a clear golden with no head and no lace. The scent has slight grain and grass notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with crisp saaz hop flavors. The mouthfeel is lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it's a good beer.

16oz can poured into a tulip. Pours a light golden with great clarity and transparency with bubbles racing upwards; small white head that fades quickly leaving okay retention and lacing. Nice color. The aromas have some subtle hints of citrus and pear. Some floral notes. Fresh bread and crackers. Malts are there. The flavors follow the nose. More floral notes. Lots of fresh grass. Mild citrus notes. More fresh bread and crackers. Moderate to low bitterness. Alcohol goes unnoticed. Mouthfeel is nice. It's light-bodied with active carbonation. It's sharp, crisp, smooth and easy to drink.
This is a decent lager. It's called "Basic Lager", and that's basically what it is. It's nothing crazy, but it's clean and refreshing. Not bad.
