Pours a honey hue with a slight spiced malt smell. The medium body is rich and balanced. A spiced hope taste upftont, fading into a creamy malt finish. There is a sour note that adds to the complexity of the brew. Very fine beer. I'm thankful the brewery is just down the road

Can states 5.3 abv, 40 IBUs, 5 SRM, and suggests serving 40 - 50 F.

Appearance: Deep yellow gold glass is hazy and holds a full finger of bright white head.

Aroma: Mild cooked corn DMS, bready yeast, lemon grass, mild metallic sharpness.

Taste: Big flavor for a Blonde, sweet balance, wheat and wet grain earthy note, little noble hop bitter gets bigger and a little metallic, a little peppery. Like a Czech Pils gone big. Long smacking sweet finish with a bit of lime rind.

Mouthfeel: Heavy for a Blonde, Medium heavy body with a little chew, frothy carbonation, oily texture.

Overall: An Imperial Blonde? It's almost too generous with everything it brings, and I waiver between hating and loving it. Almost a Tripple profile without the Belgian yeast, goes beyond refreshing and gets into a bit of a meal. Part of me says water it down to a Blonde, part of me says call it a Double Blonde, but looking at the stats on the can, I don't know where it's coming from.

First taste from Shannon, big eye opener, I'll be looking for more.

Poured from a carbon dioxide tap in the Shannon Brewery Tavern into a Nonic 16 ounce pint glass.

Appearance: Pale straw color with a blended goldenrod throughout. Blonde with solid lacing that lingers with a golden hued head. 4

Aroma: Sweet with a light earthiness that is throughout. Peach and citrus fruit hints with lingering buttered biscuit, lightly toasted malts, and light oaked Chardonnay waves. 3.5

Taste: Smooth and sweet. Apricot, pear, and peach with Chardonnay finish.Light buttery taste, with citrus zest, and brown sugar. Subtle hops. 3.75

Mouthfeel: Lightly carbonated with creaminess that gives it a thicker body then it looks. Crisp finish. 4

Overall: A blonde ale that sets it self apart with taste and complexity, subtle hops and great crisp finish. 3.75

Shannon All American Blonde — Year Round
Shannon All American Blonde is a light and very drinkable blonde ale. Perfectly balanced with a subtle sweetness and light hop aroma. Shannon All American Blonde aromatics come from very late hop additions in the boil kettle and generous hops in our hop-back. Along with being a great beer, Shannon All American Blonde is a tribute to all the American men and women who serve to protect our great country. All profits during the month of July from Shannon All American Blonde will be given to the Wounded Warriors program and other charities helping our veterans.
