Had this with a vegan brunch in Austin, TX. Nice looking beer, clear yellow color with nice lacing. Smell and taste is light and not well defined. Grassy and somewhat fruity, a bit of pepper. This beer is refreshing but it lacks any well defined flavors.

Very clean and crisp easy drinking beer. Don't expect a kristalweizen, expect exactly what the back of the can says.

355ml can nabbed at a beer store in Austin, TX.

"Kristallweizen infused with real blackberry fruit." "Unfiltered." "Unpasteurized." "Fire-brewed with pure Texas spring water, whole grain, whole flower hops..." IBU: 22. SRM: PRPL. 6.2% ABV.

APPEARANCE: Pours an eye-catching pink head atop a depleted clear pink body. Appears filtered contrary to Shannon's claim that it (and hey, let's be fair: if you brew an unfiltered kristallweizen, isn't that just a hefeweizen?" No yeast/lees are visible within.

AROMA: Faint indistinct berry...wouldn't peg it as blackberry in a blind tasting at all. 2-row.

That's it. A very subdued muted aroma of low intensity.

TASTE: Not finding the clean fresh wheat I'd expect in a great kristalweizen, nor any German ale yeast notes (banana, clove, phenol). Just 2-row and muted indistinct berry.

A shrug of a stab at a kristalweizen. More a fruited ale with poor depth of flavour.

TEXTURE: Smooth, wet, overcarbonated, slightly refreshing.

OVERALL: A forgettable beer if ever there was one. I guess Shannon's description of this as an "unfiltered kristallweizen [sic]" should have had me running the other way. Drinkable, though.
