Superb honey from the Salish Lodge & Spa beehives adds dimension to the biscuity flavor of wholesome malt and aromatic Yakima Valley hops. Pours a light gold color and pairs well with salads, seafood, nuts and cheeses. This is one tasty collaboration. It doesn’t get much more local than Pike Hive Five.

On tap. Poured a clear, golden amber color with a small head of foam. It smelled of honey, caramel and floral notes. Sweet caramel with a touch of honey. Very low bitterness.

Had on tap. Pours clear, gold in color with 1/3 inch head. Taste is wheat, lemon, and a good dose of honey on the finish. Sweet, with medium body and high carbonation. Refreshing and sessionable. Well worth a try.

12oz can served in a tulip. Canned on 2017-05-05.
Pours clear honey golden with a medium head and nice carbonation. Smell is a little honeysuckle and more yeast.
Taste is lagery, hint of honeysuckle, and a surprising bitterness that doesn't please -- just exists.
Mouthfeel is dry and light. Overall, it's not bad.

12 oz can from Pilgrim’s. Aroma is grainy, honey, SweeTarts. Pours hazy golden with a one finger white head that falls quickly into a ring. Taste is sweet with a strong honey flavor; finishes with a light bitterness. Most honey beers I’ve had have just a hint of the flavor, but this is really strong here. Not sure how this is a Belgian style ale. Just tastes like a golden ale with honey. Better than I expected.

Poured from a can into a Seattle Beer Week pint glass. Pours a medium golden amber with a two finger off-white head with good retention and thick lacing. Aroma of pale malt, honey, light citrus hops, slightly mineral. Flavor is pale malt, honey, lemon citrus, lightly floral. Light citrus hops in the finish with residual mild honey sweetness. Medium bodied with light creaminess. A nice, mild blonde ale with good, clear honey character, slightly sweet, but not cloying. There is a mild floral note that works well with the honey. The blonde ale base is somewhat pederstrian, but the honey portion is deftly handled and the overall impression is light honey sweetness with a good supporting malt base. I'm a fan of honey and liked this quite a bit.
