Thin white head even with a sturdy pour that fades quickly. Not much lacing. Aromas of belgian yeast and candy sugar. No hoppiness to speak of. Taste has a nice malt backbone with a good yeasty kick followed by light candy sweetness. A bit floral and honeyed with some orange zest coming through just a little bit when swallowed.
I really nice local saison attempt. I'd definitely get it again. Certainly not as good as the real thing but a great attempt. The flavors are all there and just need a bit of refinement
