I think if this beer had been a stout or even a porter, this would have been a home run beer! Being a brown ale, there's the obvious thin mouthfeel so I think doing a bigger, more robust beer would have been better, but, that's, just, like, my, opinion, man. Anyways this is a great execution, however simply changing the base beer could have been the simple difference!
Copper-brown in color with small khaki head. Smoky malts, with a mild artificial bacon aroma (I mean how else are you to get bacon flavor in a beer??), a sweet aroma of maple syrup that leads to a flavorful brown ale with lots of smokiness and less on the sweetness. Thin mouthfeel (but that's to be expected given being a brown ale) but like I said above, that can be corrected, no problem!
