A darker brown ale than I expect from an English style (as it is now listed). It appears clear in substance, with a nice, barely beige head.
Nose is more nutty than toasty, but seems to straddle the line. Taste is a bit more neutral on the subject, with a moderate earthy bitterness.
Not sure why the brewery [re-]classified this as an English brown. The malts are a bit darker toast and share the stage with what I assume is bittering hops. A good enough beer but I am seeking a bit more from the malt profile to kick it higher.

I tried Sweet Annie's Road at the brewery tasting room. It poured a clear brownish amber with no head and no lace. The scent had hints of roast. The taste was bit sour doughy. There was some roast presence. The Mouthfeel is lighter in body with subtle carbonation. Overall this was not a fav of mine.
