Enjoyed on tap at Big Lick Brewing in Roanoke, VA
10oz pour into a goblet. Beer is pitch black with a mocha colored half-finger head. Head fades to a lite skim but sticky lacing left on the sides of the glass.
Aromas of roasted malts and sweet chocolate.
An excellent stout. Deep roasted malts mixed with chocolate sweetness. Mild bitterness on the backend. The ABV is not overbearing but is noticeable.
Medium consistency. medium carbonation.
Overall, a very tasty stout. Nice example of the style. Always love to get the beer fresh from the tap from the brewery that produces it... cheers!
