Peanut butter and fluff porter. Your favorite childhood snack turned sweet and savory porter. Too bad you can't pack it for lunch.

Dark brown / black appearance with a half finger of head, ok retention, minor lacing. Peanut and vanilla really standout, slightly artificial, but not irritatingly sweet. Moderate to light body, creamy finish.

Picked this up on a whim at a small store near my aunt Jenny’s in the Adirondacks. Had gone to Crossroads on a previous trip and was impressed with the selection. Had some Mean Max the previous week at Blue Mountain Lake and really liked their coconut cream ale. Was looking forward to this one as it was labeled as a peanut butter and fluff beer. Can description didn’t really add anything to the beer, so not mentioning it here.
Poured an almost pitch black color with 2-to-3 fingers of khaki-tan frothy head. Could see some slow moving bubbles creeping up along the sides of the glass. Excellent spotty lacing. World-class retention. (Sight - 4.50)
Smelled marshmallow, vanilla, milk chocolate, creamy peanut butter, nutty malts, toasty notes, chewy caramel and milk. More peanut butter from the can. (Smell - 4.00)
Taste wasn’t quite as good as the nose. Really thin, too. Got smoky char wood, s’mores, vanilla, marshmallow, dark chocolate, bitter coffee, creamy peanut butter, toasty nutty malts and chewy caramel. (Taste - 3.75)
Full body. Thin-to-creamy texture. Average carbonation. Bitter finish. (Feel - 3.75)
This was very good overall, but I was hoping for a bit more. Would like to see a bigger version of this with a little more backbone, maybe even a barrel-aged version. (Overall - 3.75)
