Solid. That is the best way to describe this beer. It isn't amazing in any way, but is good in every way. Really nice carb and mouthfeel. Nice farmhouse funk with a little sour kick and good balance.

Mellow yellow pour with quick dissipation. Nose was actually unpleasant; seemed a bit off lactic wise. But taste was very good. Love Lehua honey especially because of its distinctive flavor. The blend of tart and sweet was good, but the actual Lehua flavor did not come through. Mouthfeel was good...bright but not heavy carbonation. All in all a pleasant session like wild ale.

On tap in the Toolbox tap room, though I have to say, this was completely overshadowed by the 2 oz. of the barrel aged stout they were pouring out of bottles. Wowza. Can’t wait for a full pour of that because yes, I bought two of the expensive-ass bottles. Oh, yeah, wrong review.
This one is a spare beeswax yellow, very close to still. Haole Honey is a ‘tart ale with Lehua honey’ & that seems to fit it to a t-shirt. I take a pull & start quaffing like I’m in a deep throat contest. The tartness is tamed & quited by the honey sweetness, & the pour is about half gone before I can even begin to describe it. Bit of lemon, too.
A simple, sessionable sour. The addition of the honey is a brilliant touch, taming the inherent tartness & allowing this to slide down like a greased pig. Good beer.

Thanks to GRG1313 for sharing this one at the LA Beer Talk bottle share.
Batch No. 001.
Pours a murky light yellow with a foamy white head that settles to wisps of film on top of the beer. Small streaks of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is slightly sour with grain, honey, earth, and acidic aromas. Taste is much the same with slightly sour grain, honey, and earth flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of acidity on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer with solid honey qualities all around.
Serving type: bottle.

This beer is solid and doesn't taste bad but it just is t full of flavor. The tartness is good and it's sweet and drinkable, but for me, there is no pronounced flavor to speak of.
