750 mL bottle. Gushes, but not that aggressively, when I open it. Pours a deep purple with a pink head. Smells of strong berries. Like blackberries. Oak and yogurt, too. Tastes very fruity. Sweet, jammy berry flavor. A little yogurt here too. Lemony finish and a little bit grainy and minerally in the finish. Slight wine in the back end too. Medium body. Very strong berry flavor. Really intense and flavorful. The finish is a bit funny, though.

750ml bottle, served in a snifter glass. Pours a dark purple, slightly reddish hue, two finger thick white head, good retention, lots of lacing. Very slightest hint of gushing as soon as the cap came off. Smell is rich marionberry; it's dominant with a seedy jamminess on the nose. A lot like what I would imagine marionberry preserves to smell like. Light oak, a bit of Brett, leather is around, but for the most part this is marionberry jam. Flavour is a bit more discerning; obviously the marionberry jam is right in your face with the barrel lurking in the background. A bit of oak, touch of tannin, overall heavy on the marionberry. Nice moderate vinegary tartness. As the beer gets warmer, there is a lot more vanillin character that comes out. Mouthfeel is medium bodied, good carbonation. Crisp and dry, heavy marionberry finish. This beer is incredibly heavy on marionberry, in a good way. I would advise slowly drinking this one to let the barrel come out and shine- the vanillin is really nice.

Purple head. Ruby purple color.
Reminds me of de garde the purple but not as sour and tart. Lots of berries. Oaky with sweet tarts.
Light bodied. Lively carbonation.
Well done sour from a brewery I never heard of.
