32oz Growler fill $25 on 25Aug2017; enjoyed same day in double wall glass.
L: Bright hazy gold with clear white and quickly dissipating head. A ring is left while imbibing.
S: Earthy oak, grassy, funk and sour; very well blended and complex.
T: Bright pineapple and grassy, sour oak… I’m sensing that smooth, mellowing effect of the guava on the finish with a little hop bite.
F: Light and bright on the tongue, with very little carbonation feel, and no alcohol presence.
O: One of the best desserts I ever had was a guava crème brulee… the fruit just smoothed everything out. That’s what’s happening here, and it’s a brilliant and unexpected addition. It’s very subtle but works its magic to blend beautifully earthly, sour and smooth farmhouse ale that got better and better through the growler.
