Among a portfolio of absolutely wonderful barrel-aged offerings, this beer has brought Toolbox to a new level. It is Fundamental Observation from San Diego.. It's one of the richest and most delicious stouts I've had in a long time, and I am very lucky to work 2 minutes from this place.

32oz Growler fill $25 on 21Sep2017; enjoyed same day in double wall glass.
L: Pitch and completely opaque black; medium cream coffee head leaving a nice soapy residue.
S: Coconut topped, sugar burnt chocolate cake.
T: Beautiful sugary oaky bourbon soaked chocolate flourless cake, very subtle vanilla cream espresso with just a nice coffee huff on the last inhale before getting it in your mouth. Beautifully balanced and complex.
F: Thick and syrupy, almost chewy, with no carbonation, the lightest hoppy spark, and no alcohol presence.
O: This is so amazing I’m waiting until I get more tomorrow before I post this review. In the joyous time I had in Tree House Brewery lines, I overheard one guy say “my one regret I that I told too many people how great this place is”. I now understand…
