on tap at the rino park burger location, i was surprised to learn how strong this beer is. 9% abv or something like that, unless there is a typo on their menu, but it sure doesnt drink that strong. really pale and light in color with an airy white head clinging to the sides of the globe. it smells and tastes far less rye forward than i would have liked, and the yeast is also super mild, something weird about a clear saison too to me. this is super light in taste, as much wheat as rye on the low end, and any spice it might provide seems outspiced by the yeast, which is as much belgian as rustic farmhouse in my opinion, a little too clean for the style. delicate mouthfeel too, can this really be that strong? good carbonation and a really clean finish, almost devoid of any hope character at all, flavor or bitter. this is a real strange beer, pretty safe on the yeast front and on the gentle use of rye, i would like to see a bolder malt base showcasing the rye a little bit more, but this is crazy easy drinking for what it is, nicely in balance, and another quality beer from mockery. they seem pretty far ahead of the new brewery curve, they have since day one...
