a well made lager, and a needed respite from some of the enormous and heavy beers on their menu lately. it is a little light on the lemon, more fragrant than flavorful there, but i prefer it being subtle to overdone, and this ends up being light and refreshing even without a lot of lemon to it. the hops support the citrus nicely, and there is a little bitterness at the end to crisp up the finish. the lager yeast is close to flavorless but it does a fine job fermenting this down to dry, and it has a fast and clean feel to it, great carbonation throughout. its clearish and bright yellow in the glass with over an inch of thick white head. it looks as light as it drinks. the malt is really simple, a belgian type pils, lighter than many, and very fresh too, i think the perfect base for something like this, with just a little bit of body and a dry crackery complexion that goes great with the lemon. mellow overall, but an easy drinking beer any time of the year. i wish they had a couple more light ones like this happening here, everything is so strong and sweet and boozy all the time it seems like. this is a nice change of pace!

L: Clear bright yellow color with no head and no lacing on the glass.

S: Lemon hard candy, weedy and dank hops, Bready malt.

F: Lemon hard candy, weedy dank hops that don't quite meld together too well. A medium strong bitterness. I don't get a lot of Bready malt.

F: Fairly heavy for a pils, medium carb.

O: An ok beer but not all of the flavors blend super well.
