a. Surprisingly flat, and more brown than black, but suitably named (Love the names at Belford) in this case for the wheat flower colored head which reminds brewers of the cat-tails of their shore creek home.
s. prunes and chocolate.
t. follows smell, wine like, pruney, some dark chocolate.
f. flat, but nice weight.
o. odd but local and therefore blooming with flavor and complexity.

From 09/13/14 notes. Had on tap at the brewery.
Pours a dark brown, almost black color, with two inches of dark tan head and moderate carbonation evident. Lots of roasted malts, cream, light coffee, vanilla, and milk and dark chocolate. Not overly complex but easy to drink and enjoyable. Medium body and low carbonation, super smooth and creamy.
Overall this is easy to drink and had a good taste, but it is a little bit weak. Not complex but everything is done well, would just like a little more out of a stout.
