A nice brown ale. Decent look, aroma, and taste. What do you want from an English brown? Easy drinking and flavorful, yes please.

At the Belford Brewery.
LOOK: Poured a light to medium hazy brown, with no head as well as no side glass lace.
AROMA: Pick up scents of caramel and hints of toasted Malts. Not much else
TASTE: Not much here, a little lingering sour, not getting the usual nut or much in the way of malts that English Brown usually provides.
Feel: Pretty thin. Disappointed in this offering.

4th review of lovely local brewer.
Despite the uneveness subject to micro small batches, this one is a winner tonight, at Gaslight in 07716 USA.
a) Brown clear body with lax and non-lacing head.
s/ t ) Great aroma, of malt, English pub-style, caramel, followed by a mouth full of sweet, but bitter-balanced hops.
f) thinnish, flattish, but tasty and satisfying though mid-pack for brown ales.

I had this on draught at the brewery. Pint pour. It pours a medium brown with cola hues when held to the light, and a modest, ecru-colored head and lacing. Not much to the nose: some sweet malt and nuts was about all I could smell. I was impressed, however, by the taste; it has a nice roasted, sweet malt flavor, with abundant nuts and a slightly sweet finish with a caramel quality. It was more complex and flavorful than I anticipated. It has a fairly creamy mouth feel with moderate carbonation, and the 6% ABV seemed just right. Overall, I was pleasantly surprised by Lobster Pot Ale and I would most definitely drink it again. I'm hoping that with time they further refine it. It has the potential to be very good.

On tap at Gaslight.
LOOK: Medium brown, medium white head.
AROMA: malt forward, touch of apple , spice. Nice.
TASTE: pecan, apple, grains, maybe some vanilla.
FEEL: a little thin and flat, but still easy drinking.
Good stuff.

From 12/26/15 notes. On tap at the bewery.
Overall an easy to drink brown ale for sure. Lots of malts, bready, fruity, and lightly toasted malts. Not a lot going on in the nose.
