On draught at the brewery. Served in a snulip glass. It pours a pretty, honey-amber color with a half finger of creamy, egg white head. The nose offers sweet malt, honey, spices, and just a whiff of bourbon. The taste is very honey-forward but it is not overly sweet. The barrel influence is noticeable but mellow and there is a good dose of spices. The mouth feel is thick and creamy on cask. Despite the barrel aging it is not overly boozy and drinks easily at 7% ABV. Overall, H3 is a delightful honey ale and a nice change of pace.
