my least favorite of the two beers i had in here for sure, and a little messed up on the fermentation to me, like it was allowed to ferment warmer than would be ideal, its phenolic to me, a little sharp, and with that overdeveloped almost rotting fruit complexion in the finish i sometimes get from french and belgian yeast under less than ideal conditions. the beer has a light amber shade to it, a little more malt substance and flavor than a lot of these do, more than just pale wheat for sure, and is without wild yeast funk or much rustic grain character, very americanized in that way to me. when i smell and taste this thoughtfully, all i can get is this disagreeable yeast profile, chemicals and cleaners and out of control esters, but when i just drink it and dont think it, i can get some enjoyable elements of apricot, white grape juice, and sweeter wheat malt. not sure what went wrong here, but its a tough one to get through. i much preferred their coffee milk stout to this one, a night and day difference in objective quality there...
