The colour of cigars, and not entirely without haze. More chocolatey than I expected, with smoke on the nose but little on the tongue, turning to banana in the finish. Sweet and slightly oily in texture. For an English brewery, a really good attempt at a Rauchbier, and a good sign of things to come.

I raise my glass to Chris S. my only Untappd friend to rate this beer & genuinely the nicest guy I’ve met in the field of beer, only just heard of your passing, thank you for the great companionship when we drank together
Purchased from The Epicurean
Pours a dark dark brown body with thick tan head
Aroma is good but mild cigar
Flavour is rich smoke, slight sweetness & bitter finish with such a great body

Keg @ The Small Bar, Bristol - Pours dark brown with a small white tanned head. Medium carbonation. Nice lacing. Aroma - light smoke. Taste - light smoked foretaste leading to a crisp bitter finish. Well balanced smoked ale, not overpowering on the char factor.
