This was our first stop on a pub crawl of the Bermondsey Beer Mile for Micros (BBMM, I call it) on a Saturday afternoon and A&H was packed with people watching -- not the Winter Olympics -- but rugby. But making it to the BBMM was good Vibe enough and looking up the raised railroad tracks and seeing all the bars and food businesses spilling out from the viaducts just added to the good Vibe.
I've had five A&H brews overtime, most good. Today's Yule ale was close to delicious and welcome and fitting since the weather was cold and rainy. Service was limited, given the crowd. A&H had a good selection of their canned brews for sale from refrigerators. There were 20+ taps also and had a few from other breweries.. which I always like to see.
While the A&H experience was good enough, I probably will not stop by on my next BBMM Pub Crawl.

My first stop on the beer mile and it was a winner. Located in a Railroad bridge arch, they have carved out a nice space.
Tables outside as you enter (some with heat lamps), tables, a to-go cooler, bathrooms and the bar inside.
Service was very friendly and I was able to chat with one of the brewers for a bit. I thought the beers were very good. Had a Porter, a mild and Mrs. Rover liked her IPA.
This is a friendly spot and it was easy to strike-up conversations with some of the other patrons. Bonus, the OPS wine bar and restaurant is right next door. That is a great spot for well priced bottles of wine and tasty food.

Right in the heart of the "Bermondsey Beer Mile", A&H has a decent selection of their own beers on tap and some bottles to go. A bit cramped and it can get pretty busy on Saturdays. Service was friendly. Worth a quick stop if you're hitting the breweries in the area.
