L- Deep chestnut brown, with a fat and creamy 3Cm pale tan foamy head. ps. 10 mins later - The head is dense foam and holds up really well.
S- Quite mild, just a touch of toastiness.
T- Toasty and malty, really nice rounded+ somewhat rich (not sweet!) and deep malts then a gentle dry hoppy-lick comes into the finish. That repeats with each sip.
F- It feels pretty robust but the hops remain bright on the palate giving balance.
O- What a lovely beer. I lived 3 years in Berlin so have sampled maaany pedigreed Dunkels, and still this one is impressing me. I really hadn't expected that from a) a UK brewer b) a quite modern brewery c) from a beer packed in a matt-labelled 440ml 'hipster can'. I very happily drink this again, though it's unlikely I'll buy it again it at the price I paid.
Bought from Cambridge Wine Merchants, opposite King's College, Cambridge. £3.50 BB: 25/11/22

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
