quite literally "seasonal", this must be the rotating beer of the moment from this san jose brewpub. i loved it here, and this was my favorite of the two house beers we had. it pours super active in the pint glass, with over two inches of lasting white head and lightly hazy but super pale straw colored body, insanely light and lively looking. it almost comes across more as a wit than a saison, with a belgian yeast and citrus element to it, but its all super delicate and the white wheat is there for sure, cerealy and dry, but also very fresh and distinct in this. a little white wine note to it too, sort of that french saison yeast thing going on, but very mild compared to what we are used to here in the states, maybe fermented cooler, its dry and crisp with an almost lagered finish. the carbonation is through the roof and in the chilled pint, this was a supremely refreshing beer that i could have easily made a night of if there werent so many other cool new costa rica craft beers to try! this was really tasty, a little different for a saison, but very well made and quite promising for the future of primate brewery! we both really liked it, smooth for how light it is, great offering!
