Poured from a 750ml bottle to a small tulip glass.

Appearance: poured a dark yellow, light amber color. More opaque than i anticipated (seemed to be lots of tiny solids in the beer) kind of a milky amber color. Thick white head that quickly diminished to a thin ring. Lots of lacing left on glass.

Smell: Smells very sweet and malty. Get quite a bit of hop aroma with an orangey twist. Smells vaguely of homebrew.

Taste: A decent DIPA. I keep getting some elusive orange notes that disappear when I am looking for them. Not getting a ton of hops flavor in this one, although some biterness helps balance out the malty sweetness.

Mouthfeel: Pretty silky mouthfeel. Not much else to describe I guess.

Overall: Pretty good DIPA. Not my personal favorite, but not bad either. A solid beer, just kind of missed that "really special" status for me I guess.

I'm not going to review the brewery here, but I am going to say their beer is very underwhelming. I will keep going out of convenience as its located right off the greenway and for the staff because they are real solid people here, always have been kind to me and I appreciate that stuff.

This place is great for gateway beer drinkers that want craft without the flavor or aroma and convenient location for a bite to eat.

For $11 this was a let down. Picked it up in a brown 750.
Good color and great head retention, aroma is really really lacking. Candied fruit and a small amount of hops at the nose. Its pine and aspirin hops with very distant malt flavors. Finishing dry and bitter with not-dipa-like aspirin and dry bitter pine.
Mouthfeel seems to miss its mark as well - Not slick, no body.

IDGI

Man, I paid $11 for that? I'm probably at fault for trying it after so many beers that have just been not good and complete failures at following the style.

This is a humongous DIPA, with equally humongous flavor. At 11% abv it's a beast, though it deftly steers clear of the obnoxious alcoholic heat some bears of this strength fall prey to. Big tropical fruit aroma. Sweet mango, and pineapple on the tongue, with a massive hop bitterness. The yeast is, well, expressive to say the least. It's hard to tell where the fruity hops start, and the fruity yeast esters finish. Seems to have been fermented quite warm maybe? Overall, I dig it. Very interesting, though I wish the yeast was a little less loud.

Hated this beer and don't think these guys brew good beer. Highly recommend getting a sample before you purchase a full pint, as the beers don't represent the styles very well. This DIPA is very Belgiany, though they don't mention that.

Wonderful fresh sweet fruit citrus aroma. Some intensity but not pushing it. Just a touch of oil but no excess. Quite nice.
Classic amber and dense off white head with stickiness and lacing.
NIce fullness and good DIPA feel. Almost a sticky quality and soft carbonation that adds to the fullness.
Good hop flavors with a strong streak of bitterness that contrasts the sweetness from the hops and the malt, maybe a little too much. Enjoyable complexity from the hops, more grassy than the aroma but still carrying some fruit and citrus. Does not push into the excess flavor I distaste so much (many thanks Mr. Brewer). I feel a bit of warmth in the gut but any alcohol flavor blends well into the rest of the beer.
As noted in scores there are several qualities that are quite good. The flavor doesn't cross the line, which I greatly appreciate, but it seems to lack distinction. It's more of a mish-mash of hop flavor lacking a clear characteristic to make it stand out.
I am fussy about this style and i want to give credit where it is due and this is better than most made in this state.

Tropical fruits, mango, guava, lychee fruit and nectar on the nose and in the taste. Awesome DIPA with a boatload of tropical notes all around. Moderate bitterness that is kept in check by the malt. Top notch for the style by this brand new brewery.
