this beer is awesome, a beet gose, and a very good use of beets overall. i am a huge fan of these guys in my limited exposure, inventive use of terroir, and some nicely executed beers with them. this is fun, neon pink, hazy, with a short lived soda head, and a little bit of sediment in the bottom of the nicely packaged bomber. it smells cool, more beet than lacto, surprised by that, its really earthy, true beet, deep and purple and intense, they very clearly were not shy with them. the lactic acidity is there too, sour enough i think from the smell, a little mineral thing as an accent, salt for sure, very unique. its clean for a quick lacto type, less grain that it could have, but the beets provide plenty of substance for me. the earthy intensity of the beets is awesome, in front of the citric sourness, very tidy in the finish, better carbonation than it looks like it should have, and a little hint of a rustic funky yeast there on the back end, this is really unique, maybe not flawless as a gose, but pretty awesome with the beets. surprised these guys arent getting more love, they few i have had have been really fun. if you can find a bottle of this i would buy it...
