Nearly fully opaque dark reddish-brown with a khaki foam head of moderate height clinging in wavy mounds.
I definitely get the pumpernickel-like expression noted in the description, as well as a little spice, but neither are heavy. A light brown leafiness accents the medium-light body via a softly fine carbonation that finishes semi-dry and herbally semi-bitter.
