Peach Meerts is our take on the style of beer traditionally derived from the second runnings of Lambic. Our modern Interpretation begins with Pilsner malt, raw wheat, and Saaz hops, which is brewed using a turbid mash and long boil, and fermentation in French oak foeders with our wild yeast. This version was then refermented on peaches for two months prior to bottle conditioning.

750ml green bottle. No dating information found. Label has ABV% as 4.5%.
Clear/murky pale straw colored body. Brief bubbly head. No lacing.
Aroma is a beautiful peach sour. Some leather funk.
Taste is medium plus sour, with peach being the main "flavor". White wine and oak and some leather and tobacco funk. Dry in the aftertaste.
Seems thinner than medium in the mouth feel. Rather still carbonation.
A tasty wild beer with peach.

Murky goldenrod body with bubbly white head. Smell has minerals, peach, hay, tart oak, and flowers. Taste does not have much depth, but the flavoring is pleasant: white peach, sour oak, acidic yeast, flowers, and very light barnyard funk. Feel is bright, light, and doesn't have the powerful finish you hope for.

Draft at Funk Factory, served in a small tumbler glass.

Pale orange color, good clarity and some visible carbonation. Not much foam or lace.
Aroma is acidic with a noticeable peach presence, not much depth or funk present.
Taste is nicely tart with a mild peach flavor that lingers momentarily.
Light bodied and light on carbonation, it could use a little more body.
The Meerts variants haven't really shown much complexity at all.
Overall though it was fairly drinkable and I enjoyed it.

On draft at the brewery. Pours a very slightly hazy straw yellow color with fizzy white head that dissipates quickly. Funk, wheat, and an extremely light peach note, almost unnoticeable on the nose; follows onto the palate. Light bodied. Finishes with a more bland flavor than anything, nothing much really on the finish.
