2021 vintage (released on 11/26/2021); consumed on 2/5/2023
Pours a foggy, burnt orange body topped with just over a finger of near-creamy, off-white foam; decent head retention yields a waves of spotty cap, a thin, frothy collar, and occasional strands of webby lacing clinging temporarily to the walls of the glass.
Aromas of back-sweetened limeade gloss into distant lacto-funk and a red Jolly Rancher peak, leaving underlying hints of ripe strawberry fading quietly to a wildflower honey prevalence lingering in the backdrop.
Taste opens to lacto-funk accompanied by notes of green strawberry and Pixie Stix as a waxy honey sweetness phases in over the mid-palate and through the back end, leaving underscores of pomegranate, blood orange zest, and shreds of Moscato informing the finish.
Mouthfeel offers a medium-light body and a quick spritz of moderate carbonation; moderate-high acidity finds a potent twang invigorating the mid-palate, proceeding with a slick glide into tartness easing slightly through the back end as a glossy wetness wavers toward a taut finish.
Prominent acidity is leveled by a ubiquitous mead barrel influence, imparting honeyed sweetness and rendering playfully candied undertones from an otherwise sharp funk profile.

375ml bottle. No dating information found.
Clear, pale amber colored body. Fizzy white head, but a creamy top sticks around. Leaves a few thin strings of lacing.
Aroma is funky with green organic. Has the sweet honey mead note.
Taste is sour and funky. Continues with the honey mead note. Vinous, with grassy and barnyard funk.
Medium mouth feel, with a touch of stickiness. Excellent carbonation.
The honey mead adds a bit of sweetness and stickiness to the sour and funky ale.
