Hazy golden colour with a modest and bubbly head of foam. Smell of malt and cloves, but they are dominated by an artificial cherry flavour (like cherry candy). This gets worse in the taste: the mixture of wheat beer and cherry aroma is not a pleasant experience. The result is a rather chemical soapy flavour and it tastes a bit skunked as well. The mouth feel is also quite watery. The ingredient list states: 99% beer (beer as an ingredient in itself appearantly), 1 % maribelle (popular type of cherry in France) aroma. No idea about the quality of the 99%, but it's amazing how 1% can completely ruin a brew.

Bottled, 330ml from Cora in Sarreguemines. Clouded yellow with slight head. Sweet and perfumed plum notes right from the start, like the mirabelle jam that is popular around northern France. Some pear drop, syrupy notes, little from the wheat beer gets through. Fizzy and had the mouthfeel and appearance of a geuze. Glad to get it finished, different, but not to my taste.
