Appearance: Arrives coal black with a modest head that leaves just a limited amount of lacing behind
Smell: Coffee, chocolate, dark fruit and hazelnuts
Taste: Chocolate and coffee tones, up front, with the dark fruit, hazelnuts and raisin flavors building, after the swallow; the hazelnuts are quite prominent in the finish
Mouthfeel: Full bodied with moderate carbonation
Overall: A very nice beer with the hazelnuts adding a distinctive element
