Had Coconut La Nada for the second time at the DB Bistro Dinner.
L: Pitch black with little to no head.
S: In your face coconut smells. Very strong "Almond Joy" feel to it.
T: The coconut is very prominent, you can taste it right away, it adds a sweet component to the after taste, but still very drinkable. Its followed by subtle chocolate and roasted malt notes.
F: Very smooth, velvet feel. Not boozy at all, though it clocks in at around 12%
O: One of my favorite La Nada variations and probably my favorite coconut beers so far. Big, strong coconut flavors which are balanced out by the complex flavors of a solid imperial stout.
