L: Had this beer on-tap at Capital Ale House - Midlothian, poured into a tulip glass. Had a medium brown color and a hazy consistency. There was a quarter inch of foamy, fairly long-lasting head. Not much lacing.
S: A decent aroma of malt, some fruit, and an earthy quality.
T: Tasted of some very heavy malt flavor (especially up front), a light earthy quality, some hops (mostly in the finish), a boozy quality, and a light funky / yeasty quality. Not a classic biere de garde flavor, but decent enough. It gets better as it goes along, but is a bit uneven.
F: A fair amount of carbonation with a slightly harsh finish. Medium-bodied.
O: Like the flavor, the overall quality of the beer is a bit uneven. Still, it's worth a try.
