Baseball? Who doesn't love it? Even though I'm a Yankee fan, I appreciate Fenway Park and even took a tour of it last year. Of course, the "Monsta" is it's signature feature and this beer played on that and the "green" quite nicely. Sure, Wakefield's out of Miami but you'll be wishing for hot dogs, warm summer nights, and the crack of the bat to go along with this New England-style IPA!
Typical pour to this as the beer was a muted goldenrod with just enough light seeping in around the edges to keep this from appearing too turbid or murky. Hazy due to the fine sediment floating in the liquid but there wasn't much of it at the bottom of my pint glass when it came time to finishing this off. Lots of pineapple, lychee, jack fruit, weed, and stone fruit sweetness in the soft and complex nose as they burst through in the taste. The wheat gave this body and balance as the dankness was muted by that; to the point where I could proverbially chew on that while attempting to pin this down.
Not a lot of booze or carbonation here as the liquid was able to linger on my palate and allow for it's "greener" aspects to seep into my taste buds. Dank, this may have been but there was plenty of flavor to go with that as it held up well for being one of my oldest beers in my stash. Fun stuff that would be great to have at any ball game, tailgate, or session with some quality IPA's. Nice job by J. Wakefield on this one!

The beer comes in a vibrant orangey light to medium gold color.
The aroma bursts of peach, mango puree, some dank pine.
The flavor follows with pineapple/mango puree, light bready sweetness in the middle, creamy mouthfeel with the wheat and oats coming through, soft carbonation and medium mouthfeel, medium minus piney bitterness on the finish.
Spot on for the NE style IPA. Hugely hazy and juicy with that soft and delicate on the bitterness.
