Thanks to “Tim” for this bottle & the genuine Rolex too. I have a letter of authenticity for both. Cheap, too! 750ML bottle split with my wife.
Bottle opens with a barest whisper & there’s little if any life on the top layer of liquid. The nose is mostly gentle chocolate & appears to have suffered from being trapped inside a bottle.
Forbidden Forest is rich. Bourbon suffuses this stout right down to the molecular level & striding alongside is a picnic basket spilling chocolate all over the place. Classic deep sweet malts that are a trademark of both breweries runs through to the finish. Coffee is sadly absent at this age. Thick, decadent.
This was something of a throw in & it did not disappoint. Very good beer that I wish I could have sample fresh.

Another wakefest sleeper. Little tan head. Black in color. Motor oil thick.
The coffee is supposed to be the main attraction but Wakefield barrels provide so much coconut. Nice bourbon flavors. Fudge brownie bomb. Sweet and warming. Absolutely amazing beer. Wow!

Poured a black body with one-finger khaki head. Chocolate aroma with notes of bread. Thick, bready, fuller body with minimal roasted dry malt taste as most times I sip this beer it resembles German chocolate cake and then finishes sweet and sticky.

Sample at Mikkeller Beer Celebration Copenhagen 2017, red session. Aroma has sweet fudge and cacao notes, almond extract and cocoa powder. Taste is sweet with cake batter and cocoa milkshake flavor.
