Ruby dark brown color. Appears to be clear. Minimal head with nearly no lace.
Spicy, as in cinnamon, anise and nutmeg. Yet, this avoids becoming a Christmas beer because of the strong licorice smell.
The taste is strongly like the licorice smell -- nearly medicinal. Full body with minimal spritz. The aftertaste is similar to a combination of Jager meister and ouzo. Borderline extreme. The swallow draws out the alcohol while the aftertaste fades slowly. An interesting offering worth trying at the end of the night.
