The beer pours Pitch Black with a thin bubbly khaki head. It has low carbonation. The beer smells of coffee, hazelnuts, marshmallows, peanut butter, and brandy. It tastes of coffee, hazelnuts, peanut butter, with a touch of brandy. The feel is medium, but could use more barrel. An awesome beer from J Wakefield. Almost as good as the bourbon barrel version.

If anyone has a bottle of this, send me a message as this is possibly my favorite beer.
The regular version is just insane on the hazelnut flavor, while this version adds a rich and fruity oakiness from the brandy barrels that takes the beer to the next dimensions. The barrel also helps to round out the boozy edges, but doesn't overpower the hazelnuts, which just shine through. Amazing, but very much an adjunct stout.
