Stark black with a milk chocolate brown head that dies to a swirling mocha film on the surface.
The coffee here has a uniquely herbal, spiced character to it, particularly in aroma where it is less pleasant than on the palate. The bulk of the beer is overall nutty, woody, and even pasty, not quite like nougat but something nearing it, as a little heat comes out on the swallow, bringing notes of toasted brown sugar. At each sip, the coffee comes back with a substantial acidity, while softening peanut butter wafer attempts to mitigate that.
The soft but medium body has a sharp carbonation before coming to a semi-sticky finish.
