Poured from a 500ml bottle into a JWakefield tulip. Thanks Ryan

Pours an insanely thick, inky black body with a small brown head. Very little retention.

Aromas are heavy on the bourbon and vanilla, rich chocolate cake with vanilla frosting and drizzled with bourbon caramel sauce.

On the tongue this beer is as bold as it smells - an instant punch of vanilla, bourbon, Bakers chocolate fudge brownies dipped in bourbon sauce, thick syrupy, boozy melted dark chocolate, a Sweet pastry bomb to the dome, much like eating a piece of boozy, rich, decadent cake.

This was delicious and honestly the epitome of pastry stout. So thick I struggled to get through the bottle. A sipper or sharer for sure.

Bottle. Tan head. Black color.

Massive vanilla level. Almost syrupy. Fudge and chocolate. Big bourbon flavor. Okay. Warming. Full bodied.

Has an FO vibe to it. Really solid.

Would I buy this again? Sure. But likely only one bttl.

Look - all black; no head - even upon pouring.

Smell - sweet, thick vanilla. Great example of smell for the style.

Taste - very sweet. I like my stouts more dry; hence my score (4). But also hard to hate. It is good - especially if you like sweet adjunct forward stouts.

Feel - smooth af.
