This beer needs a stronger malt backbone. It’s a pistachio, dark fruit bomb that doesn’t seem to complement the barrel treatment very well. Maybe some slight coconut from the bourbon-soaked oak, but it could be better. It’s good, but I had higher hopes. I think age had a bad impact on this.
