Poured a black body with minimal head and lace with a touch of lace patches. The aroma has some booze but I'm getting a lot of chocolate and vanilla. The beer itself is smooth yet heavy, sorta sticky, has a vanilla overload that is stronger than chocolate, booze and roasted malts and ends up finishing sweet. Rather easy to drink thanks to the barrel aging (woody and slick) and other than a tad overly sweet in my opinion it is a really good beer.

Thought this stout was a bit on the bitter side to what I like. It’s still of course decent - just not special like some of the other J wake offerings.

Shared bottle. Pours black with a decent tan head. Aroma of chocolate, maple, nuts, and coffee. Taste is chocolate, hazelnuts, maple, coffee, and roasted malt. Delicious.
