Lemon City, the second installment of our "City Series" IPA's which pays homage to the various neighborhoods that make Miami what it is today. This is a DDH Hazy IPA hopped with loads of Citra, Lemon Drop and Motueka hops.
“Known for its creative global restaurants, colorful street murals and fruit stands, Caribbean-style Little Haiti also has a flourishing art scene centered on small, indie galleries. The area's record stores and quirky dive bars draw a hip crowd.”

16 ounce can into IPA glass, canned on 2/4/2021. Pours moderately hazy golden orange/amber color with a 2 finger dense and rocky off white head with great retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty foamy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas and flavors of big lemon, lime, tangerine, red grapefruit, peach, pineapple, passion fruit, mango, melon, berry, citrus peel/rind, wood, mint, peppercorn, pine, wheat, cracker, white bread, light toast, and herbal/floral/grassy hop earthiness. Moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, woody, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Medium-plus carbonation and body; balanced creamy/grainy malts, sticky hops, and resins/rinds in the mouthfeel. Moderate increasing resin dryness, no hop astringency. A bit crisp, easy drinking. Mild increasing warmth of 8%, maybe a bit of hop burn. Nicely soft and not overly aggressive. Awesome Citra, Lemon Drop and Motueka hop profile. Very juicy, vibrant, and dank hops; with a nice wheat/oat backbone. Loved the hop profile as expected. Impressive hazy DIPA, first I've had from JWB. Will seek out others.
