Had on tap. Cloudy yellow body with a finger of white foam, spotted lacing. Bready yeast and pilsner malt with lemon and grassy hops for the nose. Taste features the drier bready yeast as the reluctant star, malt is the backbone, hops have lemongrass with pale biscuit emerging underneath them surprisingly in the finish. Feel is mildly pale, malty and yeasty in not defining ways. It is a beer beer

Lightly foggy burnt gold with a moderately thick, puffy white head settling to a curled doily ring leaving some thick arms of lace.
Not the best beer of our visit, and certainly no where near a go-to repeater, the hops actually express a sort of metallic and overly herbal quality, while the malt is a bit nutty.
I'd say they should probably nix this from their lineup, but their patrons probably aren't too critical on the pils front to begin with. Not that JWB can't do solid lagers--they can--this just isn't one of them.
