An Imperial Stout that spent a long slumber in Copper & Kings Apple Brandy Barrels and was then conditioned on Kopi Luwak Coffee from the good friends at Mostra.

Many thanks to bret27 for shipping me this 750ML bottle. An apparent update to the bourbon barrel version, split with my wife while binging Duran Duran videos on YouTube. Yes, I’m old.
Dead black & smells like my grandpa’s crabapple tree…only sweeter.
Moral Imperative – Apple Brandy is heavy on the barrel. Apple brandy sears the palate with a happy, red-hot brand. Backing of fudge, intense alcohol, corn syrup, & a finish of candied cocaine. Thick and, to use an overused term, syrupy. I could drink this often & frequently & at length & in amounts.
Apple brandy barrels are underused. J. Wakefield is under distributed. I would appreciate if the industry could solve both these problems so I could drink more excellent stouts like this one.
